"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
Matthew 18:20

FBC is currently in the process of seeing it's new "Sheep Barn" become a reality. The newest addition to our facility has been our largest project to date. This building will be such a blessing to FBC and the entire Burden community. It will be able to hold very large gatherings, and will be properly equipped to feed large numbers of folks. Being handicap accessible and easy for folks of all ages to get around in was very important. Our church family will use this new facility to spread the gospel, help those in need, and we pray God leads us through every step of this process. The work continues on...we ask that you keep FBC in your prayers as we forge ahead toward completion and finally open the doors to welcome the community.

FBC New Construction

FBC volunteers have been traveling to Alpha Christian Children's Home outside Perry, Kansas to assist with large projects for a few years now.
Our most recent effort took place in July.
This crew tackled painting the exterior of a residence (not pictured) and painting the exterior of the largest building on their site, the school. Many obstacles arose, quickly met with solutions. A tremendous task, a skeleton crew of volunteers, and only having three days to complete the job. We prayed, worked, ate, laughed, and collapsed from exhaustion each night. God saw us through until the job was complete. This work, this serving, this experience...is something that stays with you. You will be changed. The children love the new color and couldn't have been more gracious. If YOU are interested in volunteering on our next work trip to Alpha, please reach out to our fearless organizer, Bob Beltz.

Alpha Work Trip

FBC has been partnering with
Dr. Vincent Enyioke in assisting him to bring the Word of God to the homeless population in Fort Worth, Tx. Oakcrest Family Church is dedicated to serving the community in Jesus' name. FBC provides financial support and delivers donated items when called upon. In December, folks in our community stepped up and donated clothes, blankets, hygiene products, and items for food distributions - all to bless those in need. Our partnership will continue on with Oakcrest Family Church, as we serve together for the Glory of God. If you would like to get involved with our next donation drive, reach out to us!

Texas Homeless Aid

In Fall of '24, a horrific hurricane brought devastation to many states. A member of our church family had relatives residing near Asheville, NC. Tim asked that FBC move to do something, without hesitation a supply drive was launched. The initial plea to our local area took off...we soon had volunteers, donations, and drop-offs springing up all over southeast Kansas. Josh Dobbs (Harvest Church & Flint Ridge Services) offered to drive an additional truck and trailer if needed. In less than a week, two trucks/trailers were loaded with supplies and heading to North Carolina. Donations arrived from various churches, individual donors, businesses, and organizations. The churches on the receiving end of these items took care of distributing supplies to those in need. Those volunteers could not believe that these donations arrived, hand delivered from Kansas! It was an absolute blessing for FBC to be used in this manner. All for His glory, forever and ever. Amen.

NC Hurricane Aid

A 4-day camp focusing on encouraging our special needs campers in several areas: 1. Equine interaction- petting, leading, riding (if able), and wagon rides. 2. Recreation, movies, crafts, and pool time. 3. Opportunities throughout the camp to build self-worth and confidence by reminding campers that each one of us has worth, value, and beauty because we were each created that way, with purpose and promise. First and foremost, we are loved from above. The Bible will be our reference and source, as we share the Love of Jesus with all those attending through love and encouragement.
Each year we need volunteers to help us make HHHC memorable for every camper. We need adult volunteers to help with horses, cooking, crafts, cleaning, all the areas encompassing HHHC activities. Each camper has a "helper" that is assigned to them throughout the entire camp. Area teens with servant hearts volunteer to fill these roles. If you know of a teen that would be a great fit for our special campers, please reach out to us.
If you have questions or would just like to visit about HHHC please contact:
